5 Most Popular MotoGP Grand Prix Races in the World

If you have a love for the speed, excitement, parties, and massive amounts of enthusiastic fans MotoGP™ brings, you should check out some of last season's most popular grands prix based on attendance.

In the 2014 season, crowds at 14 out of the 18 grands prix brought more than 100,000 people in attendance.

Some of the grands prix with the largest attendance include Austin, Termas de Rio Hondo, Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello, Catalunya, Assen, Sachsenring, Indianapolis, Brno, Silverstone, Aragon, Sepang, and Valencia. 

In total, these races brought huge crowds for the 2014 season, and 2015 is sure to be one for the books!

The 2015 18-grand prix circuit will travel all over the globe. The circuit visits some of the most populous cities, but also stops in more remote corners of the world, as well.

A few of our favorite grands prix, which also pulled huge crowds in the MotoGP™ 2014 season are as follows: 

1. Brno 

Location: Czech Republic
Crowds: 240,695 MotoGP™ fans 
Turns: 9 rights, 6 lefts 
Length: 6.79 m

Brno is the largest city in the Czech Republic and is home to the famous Czech beer! You can travel to the Brno Grand Prix, which had the largest crowd of the 2014 season, and enjoy a weekend sampling Czech beer, the country's signature Kofola or trying the high-quality, locally made wine, referred to as the "blood of Moravia."

2. Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo: 

Location: Santiago del Estero, Argentina
Crowds: 138,000 MotoGP™ fans 
Turns: 9 rights, 5 lefts 
Length: 4.806 m 

This circuit was constructed with the purpose of creating a very modern, safe and vibrant track to bring people in and appreciate the culture of Argentina. The culture of Argentina is threaded into the architecture of the track. Moto racing is incredibly popular in this country and this grand prix is sure to continue to attract a large crowd in celebration of the fast-paced sport.  

3. Jerez

Location: Frontera, Spain 
Crowds: 229, 416 MotoGP™ fans 
Turns: 13 turns 
Length: 4.42 m 

By far one of the sunnier locations on the list of grands prix in MotoGP™, it is a favorite location for visitors. It not only is located in an immensly entertaining area of Spain, but it is beautiful and warm most months of the year. Frontera is situated between beautiful mountains and not too far from the sea! 

4. Sachsenring

Location: Saxony, Germany 
Crowds: 229, 416 MotoGP™ fans 
Turns: 3 rights, 10 lefts 
Length: 2.3 m

As one of the shorter MotoGP™ circuits, this track in particular, creates some interesting challenges for MotoGP™ riders and the more challenging the circuit is for the riders, the more entertaining for the fans! The fast left-hand turns, mixed with the technical circuit, culminates in an exciting combination for those who live for the more dangerous, tricky MotoGP™ grands prix. 

5. Circuit of The Americas™

Location: Austin, Texas
Crowds: 118,918 MotoGP™ fans 
Turns: 20 turns 
Length: 3.43 m

This new state of the art and modern facility is a favorite for riders and MotoGP™ fans. Austin is also a fun host city, complete with a lively night scene, as well as delectable food and fantastic music, making it a favorite location to find entertainment after you leave the track.
