This year, the 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend will be like no other.
Despite the Big Apple being a hub and a favorite of basketball lovers everywhere, the NBA All-Star Weekend has not been held there since 1998. The 2015 weekend will jump between the iconic Madison Square Garden in Manhattan and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for all of the All-Star festivities.
The entire city will participate, putting on events throughout the five different boroughs, in celebration of the game.
Here is your three-day itinerary to make sure you make the most of your 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend in New York City:
Friday, Feb. 13
For the NBA VIPs: You will arrive on Friday before the festivities begin, and if you purchased accommodations through NBA-Events and opted for airport transfers, you'll be picked up from the airport. Contact your NBA-Events representatives to confirm specific times.

BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge
Previously known as the Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam, the Rising Stars Challenge is a great way to forecast future NBA stars by testing the top rookies to see who will soon rise to the top. For instance, before his MVP days, Kevin Durant set a record in the Rising Stars Skills Challenge, scoring 46 points.
Saturday, Feb. 14

NBA All-Star Game Practice
If you just can't wait for Sunday and want to get your NBA All-Star Game experience started a little early, the NBA will be holding an official All-Star Game Practice presented by Sean John at Macy’s Center Court. With less crowds than the actual game, the practice is a chance to see the players unguarded and more relaxed, as they shoot around and hang out before the competition sets in on Sunday.
